On Curaçao
December 19th, 1998 Miles Peña together with the local salsa band "Locomotion" at Salsipuedes. This night was also the "opening" of the new stage and dance floor outside. It was a GREAT performance!! Since it is the raining season right now every one was keeping their fingers crossed. But........once we all had to run inside cause Mother Nature couldn't be stopped.
Miles Peña performed exclusively one night only at Salsipuedes, which was of course a great honor for us. As soon as he walked on stage he brought the ambiente!! At first everyone was only watching but soon this music was taking control over our bodies and we all just had to dance!!

José Antonio Peña born in Havana, Cuba. Now lives in New York but traveled around the world, in Miami got his nickname "Miles". For all the miles he had traveled. If you want to know more about Miles check out his official Website: http://www.iijnet.or.jp/miles/index_e.html

Locomotion is a young musical group playing Latin rhythms combined with some typical Curaçao music. They participated in numerous local festivals and achieved great success after lots of hard work and dedication. Locomotion -the power of moving from one place to another- is currently working on some new recordings together with Puerto Rican musicians. Be sure to hear more from them, the name Locomotion certainly suits them very well.
